Ralph the golden retriever is a happy pup today because instead of indoor training he gets to train outdoors in the middle of lush greenery and nothing beats fresh air!

You might not know this yet but golden retriever pups are very social and active. Not only do they not like being left alone, they also don’t like to be confined for longer periods of time – they just want to have fun with their humans!

Like they say, nature is natural. When training, it’s helpful to begin indoors, where there are fewer distractions, but the true test of a well-trained fur kid is one who is able to follow commands and stay focused outdoors – where all the interesting smells and sights are!

The more room they have to explore, the greater challenge training will be and happier they will be 🙂 This person knew this and so here he is training his adorable and fluffy golden retriever in the woods so they can have all the space they need to have fun!

This is great to keep in mind when training – use something that motivates your fur kid. Some dogs are food motivated, while others are even more play motivated. If your fur kid really loves a toy like Ralph does, take advantage and skip the extra calories. This is a great training technique!
