Puppies are adorable, aren’t they? Bringing home a puppy is no joke, and I mean it. When I brought home my dog, he was a puppy, and I thought, well how difficult can it be? Oh boy, I know.
Don’t get me wrong, I love my dog even when he was a puppy, but I had no idea that puppies can be a handful! It wasn’t easy, but because dogs are so adorable, we breezed through his puppyhood with smiles and hugs! Here are some things you can expect from puppies!
1. Puppies are extra needy. Oh boy. But when you look at their smooshy face and their wagging tail, it becomes okay.
2. Puppies like to play with their food. I remember that one time my dog thought the pumpkin was his new best toy. So if you don’t want your vegetables and fruits to be carved, keep them out of your puppy’s reach.
3. Puppies *love* to play with stuff they aren’t supposed to play with. No matter how many toys you give them, they’ll still want to chew on wires, spatulas, pans, your belts, hats, socks… the list goes on and on.
4. Puppies love to roll around, and sometimes, okay, most of the time, they’ll get stuck. So they’ll roll over and won’t know how to roll back on their paws. It’s hilarious!
5. Puppies will teeth. Yes, you can expect your puppy to have razor-sharp teeth.
