The cone of shame isn’t called the cone of shame. Originally it is referred to as “Elizabethan collars”, a fancy term that is nothing like the collar itself. So it is now called the cone of shame.
A dog wearing the cone of shame doesn’t mean it brings shame to the dog, it’s just a collar that prevents them from not doing anything not allowed with their mouths and tongue. But dogs do get embarrassed when they’re wearing the cone of shame, for some reason. Photographer Ty Foster came up with a brilliant idea to show what it’s like for dogs to wear the cone of shame!
1. I’ve worn this cone for 3 whole seconds and I hate it. Take it off human. Take it off.
2. I promise not to whine when you dress me up for Halloween, just please take this off.
3. Okay, I know its a cone of shame, but I really don’t get why everyone’s complaining. What’s the problem?
4. Oh. My ears are going to explode. Everything is louder. Please whisper. And turn that TV off. Also, I can hear the neighbors.
5. What have I done to deserve this?! Please, pretty please take it off!
How many of your dogs behave similarly? Show us their pictures wearing the cone of shame in the comments! Watch out for Part 2!
