Dear future dog sitter here are 10 things you should know about my dog:
- She has 728 vocalizations. Nothing she does is ever quiet, asleep or awake.
- She loves human beds. She will settle into one and stick to it like glue even if you command her to leave or attempt for hours to get her down.
- She always dozes off in a sitting position. Giving in to sleepiness or tiredness is like admitting defeat, as far as she is concerned. She ends up falling asleep while sitting on a chair or couch, or leaning on a window.
- She waits until you are done with your meal before she starts with hers. Blame it on the day I gave her a table scrap. Although it has been over a year, she still stares at me in wait while I eat.
- She panics whenever she farts. Considering that it is released from her own backside, her startled and confused reaction, although momentary, has not changed even after three years.
- She acts weird about her tail. Touch it and she will immediately jump up and chase after it.
- She whines to be let outside, whether she needs to go or not. She gets into this mode when she is lacking in attention, exercise, or play.
- She pesters house guests for attention. Although trained to be polite, she starts nudging and whining to be petted and praised once she becomes familiar with the guests.
- She is into mud and water puddles. Although generally behaved while on a leash, she will run towards bodies of mud or water along the way.
- She does not mind a hosing off after splashing in the mud. In fact, she loves it, unlike taking a proper bath, which she dislikes.
