Puppies are a handful! Don’t get me wrong, I love my dog even when he was a puppy, but I had no idea that puppies can be a handful! It wasn’t easy, but because dogs are so adorable, we breezed through his puppyhood with smiles and hugs!
Here are some things you can expect from puppies! Here’s Part 1, in case you missed it!
1. Puppies *love* to wake you up when they’re awake. Even if you slept late, maybe you slept just an hour ago because you were busy finishing work that was due in a couple of hours, and your dog was fast asleep. But they still wake you up.
2. Puppies love to howl and bark and whine for no apparent reason. Sometimes they scream for food, sometimes they’ll be screaming at thin air. It’s hilarious to watch them learn to use their vocal cords, though!
3. Puppies like to test our patience and refuse to sleep altogether. No matter what you do, they just won’t sleep and won’t let you sleep either. Sleep regression, perhaps?
4. Puppies will spit up on you, and sometimes when you don’t expect it. But they will also kiss you and it’ll make everything okay.
5. Puppies will spill food EVERYWHERE. Of course, they will clean it up themselves, but boy when you see the spill, you might have a mini panic attack.
