We often here about families who lose their pups, but sometimes it happens the other way around. At 18 years old, Morgan the senior dachshund pup’s parent passed away, and the pup was taken in by the Lee County Domestic Services in Fort Myers, Florida, who passed him on to Senior Paws Sanctuary.
Morgan found his way to a foster home, and his foster Mommy was surprised by how active and lively the pup was despite his age – and his personality only grew as time passed! So his foster mom decided to make a bucket list for him in order to help him experience as much life as he could in his last few years!
The project has been pretty successful! The pup has been on a plane, met a sergeant, become a junior deputy, attended a baseball game, met Santa, gone to the beach, sat on a motorbike, and joined in on beach yoga. He’s still got a few things on his list, like having a spa day, riding in a hot air balloon, and maybe even meeting Ellen DeGeneres!
He’ll be turning 19 soon, by the way, and you can help him celebrate. This pup wants to receive loads of birthday cards from all over the world! His foster mom has suggested placing a dollar in each card to be donated to Senior Paws Sanctuary, if you like. Want to join in? Send a birthday card to 1413 Caywood Circle South, Lehigh, FL, 33936.
Do like and share to help this birthday be the best it can be!
