Puppy mills are the cruelest breeding facilities, and that’s why so many rescues are working to find and rescue the dogs trapped within them.
That’s what happened in Arkansas when almost 50 pups ranging between one to six years old – 28 of them dachshunds – were rescued from one of these mills by two animal rescues!
These pups were luckily found to be in a relatively health condition, as the breeder had kept them up to date on flea medication and vaccines. A number of them were nervous as they had never really left their confines, and many didn’t enjoy being touched. Meanwhile, the community around them is falling in love with them and half of these pups have adoption applications pending!
Each pup is finally receiving the care they deserve, and they’re awaiting their forever homes in Alaqua Animal Refuge. Interested in adopting a pup? You can visit the center at 914 Whitfield Rd, Freeport, FL 32439, or contact them at 850.880.6399.
