6 Ways To Keep Your Senior Dog Active In His Golden Years (Part 2)

The truth is that our dogs will age, but they can still remain puppies at heart if we let them. Dogs depend on us for a healthy life, so it’s up to us to help them stay alert, active and happy. It’s up to us to give them a healthy lifestyle because they’ve got a lot more living to do!

Here are some ways you can help your senior dog remain active in his golden years! Here’s Part 1, in case you missed it!

1. Swimming

Doctors recommend that people swim because it keeps their bones and joints healthy, right? The same applies to dogs! Swimming is a gentle form of exercise that keeps their joints healthy but keep an eye on them to make sure they’re not overtired.

2. Grooming Sessions

Stress plays an important role in making you feel old, even when you’re not, and that applies to dogs too. A nice grooming session can destress them while they bond with you! Happier mind, happier life!

3. Love!

Dogs thrive when they know they’re loved deeply. Show your dog all the love you possibly can, and remember to appreciate everything they do in their golden years. They’re not going to be as fast as they used to be, but their love for you will forever grow, so enjoy your moments together!
