Alright, let me get this out straight, as a dog lover and a dog parent, I have a confession to make. I just can’t decide which breed is my favorite. Last week I was dying to bring home an English bulldog, this week, it’s all about dachshunds.
If you’re a dog lover, I understand your pain. There are so many breeds walking the earth that it’s difficult to choose which one to bring home. It’s important that you research before you decide on your perfect breed. Remember you’re taking responsibility of that dog, their needs, their wellbeing and, most importantly, their food. Also, before buying dog food, remember the kind of food they eat depends on their breed.
1. English Bulldog
These dogs are so adorable, but because of their squishy and wrinkly face, they’re prone to dermatitis and skin inflammation. These dogs would benefit from a diet that would help keep their skin healthy. Please speak to your vet and request them to provide you with a proper diet for your pup!
2. Golden Retriever
These friendly and super loving dogs are also exposed to several health problems, including hip dysplasia. These dogs will benefit from a healthy diet that will improve their bone health, strengthens their joints and aid in the development of their joint cartilage.
3. Beagle
These dogs may look small, but they’re jam-packed with energy! They have an appetite of a Great Dane, but can easily gain weight which weakens their joints. A low-calorie diet will keep these energetic pups on their toes and prevent them from gaining unnecessary weight.
4. Dachshunds
These dogs have incredible personalities, but being overweight can leave them exposed to many health problems. Due to the length of their spines and their stumpy legs, these dogs should be fed a low-calorie diet with proper protein levels, to prevent them from having back or leg injuries.
What is your favorite breed? Let us know in the comments! Watch out for Part 2!
