Sophie Hewlett, 24, from Worcester, began suffering from anorexia when she was away at university. She hadn’t struggled with her weight previously, but due to stress at school she began skipping meals. When the 5’1″ blonde came home on weekends, family and friends would comment about the weight she lost, and at first she thought it was a good thing, but as time went on and she continued to lose weight, it became evident it was a problem.
She was very weak and underweight. That is, until she got a sweet dachshund puppy that changed everything. After having her puppy for just two days, the pup fell ill and needed to be fed by hand every couple hours. Sophie stepped up to the place, nursing her new puppy back to health and as she saw her pup get stronger and want to play, she knew she wanted to be there to play with her.
She started taking care of herself. She spent some time in the hospital getting better and as her little pup would come visit her, she saw they were both growing. Sophie gained weight back and her little fur kid was just a puppy so she was still growing too.
The little pup gave Sophie something to get healthy for, and the result is just incredible!
