[Alert] Arizona Humane Society In Need For Ground Canned Dog And Cat Food

If you have extra canned dog and cat food, here’s a way to help out towards a better cause. Arizona Humane Society could use some help!

Late last week, according to the abc15.com, it was reported that the Arizona Humane Society is in need for canned ground food for it’s furry friends. Although the shelter has enough dry kibbles, it is completely out of ground canned dog and cat food. Spokeswoman Ashliegh Goebel mentioned that canned food helps them make medicine meatballs so they can easily administer medication to animals under their care. Donations are most needed at the Sunnyslope Campus located at 9226. N. 13th Avenue in Phoenix. According to the official website, they’re looking for the following:

Cat Supplies

• Toys (no catnip)
• Cat litter
• Litter pans
• Canned adult cat and kitten food (pâté style)
• Mobiles
• Lullaby or Soothing Music CDs
• Kitten play tents
• Powdered goat milk
• Canned fish (sardines and mackerel)

Dog Supplies

• Toys
• Large and X-Large Kongs
• Canned dog and puppy food
• Hard and soft treats
• Dog food rolls
• Puppy pads
• SENTRY calming spray for dogs

Kennel Supplies

Items that will help our staff carry out smooth, cost-effective shelter operations all year long:

• Paper towels
• New or gently-used blankets
• Bath size towels
• Liquid high efficiency laundry soap
• Dryer sheets

Medical Supplies

• Grooming blades (size 40)

EAMT™ Supplies

• 1- & 5-gallon buckets, preferably ones in which the handle can be removed (cannot have previously contained chemicals)
• EAMT™ rescue vehicles and animal-transport vans

Dog Beds

• Give the gift of a warm, dry bed to our shelter dogs at a special discounted price. The beds are shipped directly to our shelter, so no need to worry about the details!
