Did you know it has been scientifically proven that dogs reduce stress levels? That’s why Bring Your Dog To Work Day can be so much fun! But if you want to bring your dog to your workplace, you need to know how things are going to work.
Step 1: Tell Your Colleagues
No one wants to be surprised by something so significant. Even dog-lovers may need some time to prepare for a dog’s arrival. Ask if anyone is allergic or doesn’t like the idea.
Step 2: Clear Your Office Space
Keep away anything that could pose a threat to your dog, like toxic plants, cleaning products, electric cords, spare chewable rubbish, and more.
Step 3: Prepare
Set aside a space where your dog can use the bathroom in peace; you should be able to clean the area easily. Pack a bag for your dog that has toys, treats, and other familiar objects. (And poop bags!)
Step 4: Bathe Your Dog
Make sure your dog is clean before bringing them in, so they smell good and don’t dirty up the office.
Step 5: Start As Normal
Let your dog eat and exercise in the morning as usual, then attach their collar and leash and go about your day.
Step 6: Monitor Them
Be responsible. Keep an eye on your dog and make sure they don’t get up to any sort of mischief.
