It can always put a smile on one’s face to hear that a pup who had it hard in the beginning was able to have the happy ending they always deserved in the end.
That’s what happened with Shep the beagle pup, who was taken in by Two by Two Rescue after being found wandering in Alabama. The five-year-old pup was in bad shape. He has one damaged and infected eye, the other eyes had gone missing entirely, and his neck was injured.
A local vet found that he must have been tied up alone for a long time at some point, and that the remaining eye was too infected and had to be removed. Shep was, thus, permanently blind. Shep is now eight years old, and he hasn’t let being blind distract him from the good things in life.
He’s living in his forever home with his Mommy, who fell in love with him the moment she saw his photo on Facebook. He loves to play, laze around, and have fun with his fellow rescue siblings! His personality and big heart have stolen many hearts.
