Blind Senior Dog With Paralyzed Legs Finds A Forever Home

Blind Senior Dog With Paralyzed Legs Finds A Forever Home

When people visit shelters to adopt dogs, they often look for younger ones. Unfortunately, it results in older dogs living out of their lives in shelters because no one wants to adopt them. This sad reality was going to be Rocket's fate. The dog was 12 years old when he was rescued from the streets of Miami and suffered paralysis in his two back legs.

Nobody knew much about Rocket's past. It was likely that he used to be a member of a family a long time ago before finding himself on the street.

Rocket also had another problem aside from his paralyzed legs. He was losing his eyesight. The pup desperately needed someone to adopt him so he could have a place to call home.

Things didn't look good for him as most people who visited shelters don't take a second look at older dogs, let alone ones with disabilities. However, there are still a few kindhearted people who are happy to welcome a dog into their lives, regardless of the dog's age or condition.

Fortunately, one kindhearted woman found Rocket at the shelter and adopted him, granting him his desire to live out his days in a forever home. The woman had another dog named Joey, who was also blind and could teach Rocket something about blindness.
