Dog Dad Decides To Buy Cabin in The Woods To Retire With Dog

Their meeting took place over 13 years ago by accident but the result was a friendship that was meant to last a lifetime. The story of how Lorenzo met Myles started with a local shelter that took their dogs to the park on Fridays.

Lorenzo, a frequent visitor, always said to himself that it was a pity that all these dogs had no home. Finally, he decided to take one home and the rest was history.

Since then, the pair have been best friends, doing everything together. Myles is now a happy dog who enjoys playing with his toys. He also enjoys hiking, swimming, and napping with his dad.

As time passed as Myles got older, he was diagnosed with conditions such as cataracts, arthritis, and heart failure. The once active dog was no longer able to live a fast-paced life and soon found it harder to move around. Now, Lorenzo is focused on making Myles as comfortable as possible. A part of that plan was finding him a retirement home.

The pandemic gave him just the chance he needed. He left the city and decided to lead a simple life in the woods. He lived off the land, off the grid, in an idyllic cabin which he named “Camp Myles” along with his two cats, tofu and Mama. The cabin still needs a bit of working on, but everyone seems to enjoy being so close to nature.

Myles spends his days roaming the property, lounging on the deck, and enjoying everything nature has to offer. He has also been thriving on his new medication, new food, and the fresh air.
