Dog Dropped Off At The Shelter Longed For A Forever Home... Then Found It!

There’s nothing more depressing than being alone, wondering if your day to leave the shelter will come.

This is Baby’s story:

Baby, a year-old pit bull, was found on the lonely streets of Northeastern Pennsylvania. She was brought to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter. The environment was strange for her. She was uncomfortable, nervous, and confused.

Then, the picture that changed everything was taken by P.J. Regan, the shelter’s manager. It was as if she was looking for her owner to come back. She looked through the window in despair.

The staff did the best they could to make her feel comfortable. She was vetted, dewormed, and treated for fleas, but was overwhelmed by the stress of being in the kennel. It was full of other dogs, barking, whining, and making all sorts of noise. The only time she found joy was when she got a chance to go outside and run around. She was eventually transferred to Pregnant Dog Rescue since they had more space.

Then, her life changed again.

Baby was adopted by a new family! Her new family was very excited to have her home. They shared that she settled in perfectly, and behaved well. She even sits on her new mom’s feet while she works from home, and waits patiently for her to be done.

Once a dog that stared sadly through a window, Baby is like a brand new dog. She is receiving the best care and treatment from a family who loves her very much and are glad to have her around!
