Amber had no choice but to fend for herself after her mum died. To make matters worse, her mum's relatives didn't have any plan to re-home her. So, they left her behind in her previous home.
When new people moved into the home, they didn't want Amber either because they had dogs already. The new homeowners planned to demolish the old house and build a new one with a fence, meaning Amber would end up on the streets. Fortunately, they reached out to Howl Of A Dog for assistance.
While details of Amber's previous life were unknown, it didn't seem as if it was great because she was scared to let anyone near her. Also, there wasn't any microchip on her, and she didn't have vet records to show she had ever gotten professional care.
Amber was covered with ticks and was diagnosed with Babesiosis, a tick-borne disease. Her rescuers gave her a much-needed bath and treated her for the disease. Amber is doing much better now but needs a forever home. She's three years old, very gentle, and gets along with other dogs. Although she's shy with strangers, she's sweet when she eventually warms up to them.
The pup is in Romania but can be adopted internationally. The Howl Of A Dog urges anyone interested in giving her a loving home to reach out via contact@howlofadog.org.
