Scooby, a pit bull mix, was spared from the combat rings, and six years after his rescue, he finally earned the confidence to bark once more. Before that, Scooby only vocalized sad puppy yips.
In 2016, authorities raided a dogfighting operation and found Scooby inside. Due to his breed and the conditions he had lived in, Scooby was in danger of being put down. Chris became his saviour after adopting him and was happy to report that he reached a significant turning point on his path to emotional healing by barking.
With continual encouragement, love, tolerance, and supportive feedback, Scooby gradually emerge out of his shell. Although there have been improvements, he is still reserved and unsure whether he is in trouble.
In the video Chris shared, he explained that Scooby occasionally has mishaps at home and quakes in fear at the thought of having to pay dearly for them. However, Chris often reassures Scooby in soothing, quiet tones that everything will be fine and that he is not in trouble.
Notify your local authorities if you have reason to believe that a dog is being mistreated or is a victim of cruelty. While not everyone wants to become involved in things that don't directly affect them, unlawful dog fighting can only be addressed if authorities are aware of the situation.
