Dog's Family Rejects Her Because She Was Born Without Front Legs

It's sad how people reject or exclude anything they deem different or defective. Unfortunately, they extend this behaviour to living beings too. One Chihuahua puppy, Daffodil, was rejected and abandoned on the streets by her family after discovering she was born without front legs.

Daffodil was dumped in a soggy box and left somewhere in the streets of San Francisco. While many people noticed the cute pup, they quickly went about their day once they noticed her front legs were missing. Fortunately, one young man saw her, took pity on her, and decided to take her to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).

At the SPCA, they discovered Daffodil lacked nutrients and was sick. They weren't even sure whether she would survive, but the pup showed strength after the shelter staff gave their best in caring for her. It didn't take long before Daffodil showed them how playful she can be.

Seeing that she was strong-willed, the staff at SPCA were determined to help her live comfortably. So, they took her measurements and built her a customized wheelchair. Two weeks later, Daffodil had her first wheelchair ride surrounded by supportive caretakers.

Although Daffodil had a rough start in life, things have taken a turn for the better. Not only can she move around now with her wheels, but she is also under the care of people who accept her wholeheartedly.
