Covance Research Products, located in Cumberland, Virginia, keeps thousands of beagles captive in their facility for a variety of questionable research purposes.
Animal rights group SHARK (Showing Animals Respect and Kindness) decided to investigate these dubious circumstances.
The SHARK team traveled to Virginia armed with drones, which were sent over the facility. They provided an unprecedented view of the horrible conditions these beagle pups are facing. Overcrowded cages are causing stress on the poor pups, resulting in fighting, aggression, and sickness. Cell floors are strewn with uncleaned waste material, only furthering the spread of disease among the pups.
Sadly, these poor beagles are only a fraction of the 60,000 pups annually who are used for animal testing and research purposes in the United States. To fight for these beagles and their wellbeing, you can sign SHARK’s petition to force the company to stop this gross neglect and mistreatment here.
