EuroCan Manufacturing Has Recalled Multiple Products Due To Salmonella

Hey, pup parents! Have you purchased pig ears for your pup as a treat recently? If so, then you’d better check this out, because a whole bunch of them have been recalled!

EuroCan Manufacturing supplies pig ears to several brands and issued a voluntary recall on several of them due to a possible contamination of Salmonella. This bacteria was discovered during some routine tests run on the products, and it can affect or infect both dogs and the humans who handle the food.

The affected products come in packs of 25, 12, 6, or individually shrink-wrapped and are sold in the U.S. and in Canada. The brands in question are Barnsdale Farms, Barnsdale Farms Select, Houndstooth, and Mac’s Choice, and the contaminated lot is Lot 84. If you have products that match this description, it’s best to toss them out or contact EuroCan for more information!

Thus far, no reports of illness or death have been reported as a result of this contamination. Still, do not feed this product to your pets, and preferably do not handle it yourself if it has been unwrapped! Do share this information with other pup Mommies and Daddies.
