Fiona The Cute Labrador Can't Resist A Snooze!

Fiona the beautiful Labrador puppy was just 1 month and 16 days old when this video was shot so you can imagine how tired she was from looking cute and cuddly all day long!

Now this cutie was so tired, so exhausted from looking adorable all day long that she desperately needed some snooze time. It’s understandable too. Puppies need lots of sleep – anywhere from 18 to 19 hours a day (compared to 10 hours which is enough for most adult dogs) so she’s doing her part and getting as many Z’s as she can.

Puppy or not, we all know the feeling of being so tired but trying desperately to stay awake so you don’t miss anything. Fiona is trying her best. Every time that heavy head of hers starts to droop, her dad calls her name, bringing her back to reality. She is trying so hard to stay awake too.

Some people try to keep their fur kids awake for fear that if they sleep too much during the day, they won’t sleep at night, but especially as puppies, they need so much sleep your odds are pretty good of getting some quality sleep, day or night. Instead of trying to keep them awake when they’re sleepy, focus on giving them stimulation when they’re awake on their own – plenty of play and outside exploring time will give them the socialization and experience they need as a puppy and help them sleep even better when it’s bedtime.
