When You Find Out How This Golden Retriever Died, You’re Going To Be Alarmed. You Probably Didn’t Even Know. Save your Dogs.
Luna, a golden retriever, died from eating a pack of sugar-free Ice Breakers lemon-flavored chewing gum. That’s right. Samantha Carress and her husband are urging everyone to pay attention to the food items they have at home, because little things, like a chewing gum, can be dangerous to our pets, leading to their death.
The golden retriever got into the poisonous sugar-free Ice Breakers lemon-flavored chewing gum when her humans were not at home. Soon after eating the gums, which contains Xylitol, a sugar-free sweetener used in many food products like toothpaste, Luna became terribly ill. Luna unfortunately suffered severe liver failure. Her humans were told that despite paying $20,000 for a procedure, the chances of saving her life was just a mere 25%. With a heavy heart, the family decided to end Luna’s pain, a decision that has broken their hearts. Check this out and remember to ALWAYS be careful.
Please don’t forget to SHARE this post with as many people as you can. Let’s make people aware that silly things like a pack of chewing gum can kill your adorable dog.
