A Virginia man is lucky to be alive after his pet Henry, a Labrador mix protected him from a very protective mama bear. What a daring and brave hero!
Late last year, a man called Steven Krichbaum and his Labrador mix called Henry were in George Washington National Forest. This is where they encountered a big black bear and her cubs. The over protective mama bear assumed that her cubs were in danger so she immediately attacked. Thankfully for Steven, his Labrador mix intervened giving him enough time to grab a rock and scare the bear away.
They pair took off and stopped at a fruit market to ask for directions to the nearest hospital. According to the fruit shop owner, the duo were covered in blood. Although both are well, it’s only thanks to Henry’s heroic action that saved them both from what would have been an unfortunate ending.
