Injured Dog Found Tied To A Tree And Covered In Pen Marks

Sometimes, people abandon their dogs because they are faced with life's difficulties. Other times, people leave their dogs to suffer and die because they are heartless.

One dog was recently found tied to a tree with punctures in his neck and marker coloured all over his body. The case is being investigated by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) in Queensland, Australia.

Taking to Facebook to share the case, the RSPCA said an RSPCA inspector rescued the "large tan male Mastiff cross" on September 20, 2022. The dog has since been taken to a veterinarian for care, but the RSPCA wants to find the culprit responsible for the heinous act.

In a Facebook post on September 29, 2022, Emma Lagoon, a spokesperson with the RSPCA, disclosed that their investigations are yet to determine the dog's parent or who injured and abandoned the pup.

"It's absolutely not ok to leave an injured dog tied to a tree. As for the markings, it's plain disrespectful. As you can imagine, this poor dog is quite scared and is getting all the care he needs right now to hopefully overcome his ordeal and make a full recovery," he said.

The RSPCA has urged anyone with information about the dog should kindly contact them through their 24/7 emergency hotline at 1300 ANIMAL (1300 264 625).
