Sometimes the world outside can be a pretty scary place, especially if you haven’t been there before!
The process of socialization is very important for this reason – so that growing puppies will learn to understand what is safe and what isn’t, and what the appropriate reactions towards each scenario should be.
It all starts with finally letting this 7-week-old English Bulldog puppy out of the house for the very first time. While we know that he will eventually grow to love bounding across the patio, for now the world just seems very big to him – and very scary as a result!
Because of that, he keeps close to Dad, and tries to chase him in hopes of finding comfort in his parents. This isn’t too great when he’s older and needs to be able to walk around on his own, so Dad’s trying to wean him slowly so he can become brave and independent!
