When a pet parent learns that his/her fur ball has cancer, they will definitely be heartbroken, but here’s the good news and it might not be a miracle, but a pet parent wishing for one, this might just work.

If you dog suffers from cancer, don’t give up, be proactive. Remember although it’s heartbreaking, there’s still a lot you can do to save your pup’s life. First and foremost take your pup to the vet and learn as much as you can about his condition as well as the different treatments available to you. You might not realize this now, but there’s actually more treatment options available today than ever before.

Usually conventional cancer treatments include chemotherapy and radiation, and though they are effective in getting rid of cancerous cells, but such treatments are never one-sided. Side effects exist and sometimes these side effects can be tough on your pup. Such treatments can have a huge negative impact on your pup’s immune system too.

Now the good news is that there are some herbs that can be safely used along with conventional medicine and treatment plans to fight cancer. Therefore it’s important that you help boost your pup’s immune system with the following herbs:

  • Avemar (if you fur ball weigh less than 25 pounds – 1/4 packet/day, 25-50 pounds – 1/2 packet/day and over 50 pounds – 1 packet/day.) Administer Avemar for 60 days, then for 30 days every 3 months for the remainder of your dog’s life. PS. while giving your dog Avemar please don’t give any Vitamin C.
  • Astragalus
  • Echinacea
  • Garlic
  • Green tea
  • Mushrooms (e.g. Reishi, Shiitake, Maitake)
  • Mistletoe
  • Cat’s Claw
