How To Keep Your Dog Cool While Driving In High Temperatures

It’s summer! You know what that means – time for holidays and vacations! If you’re a pup parent, then you’ve likely considered bringing your dog along for the road trip. But there are some things to keep in mind when you do!

As a general rule, you should never leave your pup alone inside the car, even with the windows cracked open, because temperatures can skyrocket to fatal degrees even on days you think seem cool enough.

If you need to make a pit stop, leave the air conditioning on in the car, have the windows slightly cracked, and make sure not to leave the car unattended for longer than a few minutes. When hungry, try to opt for drive-thru when possible! And if you’re travelling with another person, take it in turns to leave the car – always have someone in there with the pup!

Of course, out of all of these ideas, the best tip is simple – just don’t leave your pups alone in the car at all if you can. Have their collar, ID tags, and leashes ready for when you need to go out for a while and you’ll be good to go.

Have a wonderful summer, and enjoy your holidays! Do like and share this for pup parents to see!
