Little Rascals Doggie Daycare And Overnight Boarding Make Headlines As Dog Accidentally Dies During Grooming

He dropped his dog at Little Rascals for grooming, little did he know she was going to hang herself to death. Could this be a case of sheer irresponsibility?

Although this isn’t the same case as with Petco or Chasin’ Tails, but it’s horrible either way. Gene Lacey always took his dogs Vinny and Keisha to the D.C. Little Rascals Doggie Daycare and Overnight Boarding for grooming. But a horrible incident happened just hours later when his long-haired Chihuahua was accidentally hung at the grooming salon. Yep.

See What The Little Rascals Told Gene Lacey About His Dog

According to My Fox DC Channel 5, Little Rascals contacted Lacey and told him, “They told me there had been an accident and Keisha didn’t make it….They were giving her a bath and they either turned away or stepped away and she climbed out of the tub and I imagine asphyxiated herself.“

Both Lacey and Vinni are in shock and cannot believe what just happened with Vinny not eating for a few days after the loss. Lacey stated, “He wouldn’t eat for the first three days…and then at home, he would just go in lay in her crate or on her mattress and just lay there — wouldn’t eat.“

He added by saying that, “ou have some sort of protocol in place or somebody there watching the dog all the time. You wouldn’t leave a baby in a bathtub and step away.“

Although many people have encouraged him to sue the business, Lacey has made it clear that he wouldn’t be doing so because it wouldn’t bring his beloved pet back. Also, the grooming salon has not yet made a public statement about this horrible incident.

Please never leave your dogs alone even when they’re being groomed. Even groomers have to make sure they NEVER leave the dog unattended, even for a second.
