While out for a walk in the Wicklow Mountains of Ireland, Jean-Francois Bonnet and Ciara Nolan noticed something moving in the distance. As they approached, they realized it was a golden retriever who seemed to have been lost for a while.
The dog was injured and weak, barely able to stand or bark. Ciara provided her jacket to keep the dog warm and fastened her to Jean's backpack for the journey back to the parking lot, which took about five hours.
Once they arrived, the dog was taken home and given food and a warm place to rest. The couple contacted an animal rescue to see if they could locate the dog's parents. It turned out that the dog, named Neesha, belonged to a family who had been searching for her for two weeks.
Neesha had been out hiking with her family and another dog when she chased after a deer and got lost. Despite their efforts, the family was unable to find Neesha and had given up hope.
Fortunately, Neesha is now back home and doing well. She is gaining weight and recovering from her injuries. It's heartwarming to see Neesha reunited with her family and receiving the care and attention she needs to fully recover. The kindness and compassion shown by Jean and Ciara in rescuing and helping Neesha is truly admirable.
