At around the end of the November in 2018, the 41st President of the United States, George H. W. Bush, had passed away at the age of 94.
There was a national mourning, and the ex-president’s funeral was a grand but somber occasion hosted in the Washington capital. Plenty of people attended the funeral service to pay respects to the man, including Sully, a Labrador Retriever.
In the last few months of Bush Senior’s life, the Bush family had welcomed the pup into their home as a service pup. Named after the pilot who in 2009 had landed his plane in the Hudson River, this spunky little friend was supposed to help Bush Senior with his daily life.
Alas, his service didn’t last for very long, and this pup became one of the important attendees at Bush Senior’s funeral. He had flown on the Air Force One plane to join the rest of the Bush family at the ex-president’s military funeral.
