Connie Ley, passed away in November, leaving the nine year German shepherd behind. In her will, Ley stated that Bela, the German shepherd, was to either be euthanized, cremated or mixed with her ashes.
This Loyal German Shepherd Will Be Buried With His Guardian Story
The last option was to send Bela to the Best Friends Animal Society in Utah, if the funds were available. After much nervous waiting, Bela made his way to the Best Friend’s Animal Society.
But just a few weeks later, Bela was diagnosed with a very fast-growing form of cancer. He would not have made it more than a painful day or two, and sadly Bela was put down.
Bela’s ashes were sent to Indiana so he can be buried with his owner who passed away in November.
