Mama Dog Who Lost Her Puppies Adopts Orphaned Kittens

A good Samaritan found a stray dog at the Mexico Border in the state of Arizona. The dog was gentle and calm as she was picked up and taken to the Sunshine Dog Rescue based in Phoenix.

Although her backstory is unknown, she proved to have the strength to endure loss while retaining her kind and gentle spirit. Upon arrival at the rescue, the stray dog was named Milo, and she was discovered to be pregnant. She was still in the early stages of her pregnancy. However, labor came sooner than expected and much heartbreak would follow.

Tragically, none of her puppies survived birth, and she was devastated. Milo was understandably finding it hard to cope with her loss. The caretakers at the rescue recall her constantly looking for her puppies; it was a saddening sight. In an effort to help her grieve, the rescue reached out to the community for orphaned puppies, but there were none. However, a litter of three orphaned kittens were in need of some motherly TLC.

The rescue jumped right on to the offer and introduced Milo to the kittens. She adored them from the moment she saw them and took to caring for them right away. One kitten she grew fond of was named Gumball, and an exciting future awaited her and the three kittens.

While they bonded, the rescue was in search of homes for the pup and kittens and they found a loving home for the two kittens. Milo and Gumball were adopted by members of the same family.

A man named David adopted Milo while his sister adopted Gumball, which means the two can spend more time with each other during family visits.
