Neighbors Do The Most Adorable Thing For People Who Love Petting Pups!

Laryssa Giles was pretty happy when she and her cat moved into a new apartment. The only thing she wished she could change was her landlord’s rule: no dogs allowed! Luckily, it wouldn’t be too long before Giles’ dreams of having a pup in her life came true.

One day, Giles’ neighbors, who didn’t have the same rules imposed on them, came home with a Bernese mountain dog and Great Pyrenees mix pup named Jake. Now, every single day, Giles just has to leave her apartment to see Jake through the fence and have all the pup love she wants!

At first, the fence between her house and the neighbors’ was very low, so she was able to reach over and pet Jake, even when he was just a little puppy. Then, one day, the fence – which was breaking down anyway – was redone. Suddenly, it was much too tall for even a more grown-up Jake to stand up and get pets through.

But the neighbors knew how much Jake loved being pet by Giles. He ran out to see her every time he heard her leaving her home. So, after checking with Giles’ landlord to make sure it was okay with them, they installed a little window in the gate!

With that window installed, Jake would always hurry out the door when he heard Giles coming, standing up to place his paws against the window so he could get love and attention from his neighbor. It became a routine for them, and Jake was always there, no matter the weather.

Eventually, Giles did move away when she got married. But she does come back regularly just to say hi to Jake. The new tenants, who live where Giles used to, love Jake just as much and always make use of the window – they even shovel a path up to it when it’s snowing! Jake is a very, very loved pup, that’s for sure!
