Police officers are getting increasingly worried for pets being left in hot cars as the heat wave builds in the state. The U.S. Humane Society states that when it’s 72 degrees outside, in the car it can go up to a whopping 116 degrees within an hour.

People who leave their pets unattended in the car whether it’s hot or cold, or dehydrated without water may have to pay $125 fine. It could also lead to felony animal cruelty charges.

This law goes into effect on July 24 2015. Don’t forget to SHARE this important message with everyone you know.
