Everyone meet Petunia, an adorable English bulldog pup who has just conquered the stairs! Finally the day has come where she can sneak in and out of her parents room without having to be carried around!
This was the first time ever that Petunia actually conquered the stairs! Yep she went up all by herself and although her elder brother tried to show off his stair skills, Petunia just concentrated on what she had to do and landed on top like cherry on a cake! Having said that please understand that we must limit the use of stairs for puppies, especially if we’re English bulldog parents because of hip dysplasia.
According to PetMD, “Hip dysplasia often begins while a dog is still young and physically immature. Early onset usually develops after four months of age. There are also cases of later onset, where hip dysplasia develops later due to osteoarthritis, a form of joint inflammation (arthritis) that is characterized by chronic deterioration, or degeneration of the joint cartilage.” Please consult your vet regarding this health condition for more information.
