Poor Dog Abandoned In Parking Lot With Nothing But Her Bed

As if it’s not bad enough to abandon a dog, one horrible person decided to abandon a senior Pitbull in an empty parking lot. She didn’t have any water or food, and she was suffocating in the hot Texas weather.

All she had was a dog bed to shield her from the scorching pavement. The abandoned dog, Bluebelle, couldn’t do anything but wait and hope someone will notice her and lend a helping hand. Fortunately, a couple of animal protection officers rescued her.

She was grateful to be rescued and was happy to go with the officers. The officers gave her treats and took her to the Austin Animal Center. As soon as she got to safety, Bluebelle drank a lot of water and went to sleep in an air-conditioned room.

Bluebelle is about nine years old, and she was in bad shape when she arrived at the shelter. From her condition, it was clear that she didn’t get the care she deserved in the past. She had patches of missing fur and skin all over her body due to an infestation of mites.

She also has conjunctivitis in both eyes. The rescue is working towards treating all of her issues. Despite all her physical issues, Bluebelle is determined to stay positive. She is always smiling and wagging her tail.

The rescue managed to find a foster home to take her in. This way, she can be more comfortable while she gets healthy again. Once she fully heals, she will start to look for a family to offer her a forever home.
