We all know that pups love a good romp outside, but sometimes, playtime can get ruined by the elements. Rainy days can leave you and your pup stuck inside for hours.

But all is not lost, for there are plenty of indoor activities you and your fur ball can indulge in! Here are some of them.

1. Play fetch!

You’re probably thinking, “Wait, isn’t that more of an outdoor thing?” And I get it! Surely you don’t want to toss a ball around when there’s furniture and breakables about! That’s okay, though, because indoor fetch involves rolling a ball on the floor away from you and letting your pup bring it back. And if you have a lot of space, you can do outdoor-style fetch anyway!

2. Train and teach

There’s no time like house time to catch up on some training! Your indoor time can be spent teaching your pup some new tricks. Your fur ball will be happy to earn some treats, and it’s a great bonding activity.

3. Play hide and seek

Stash your pup’s toys in some remote corner of the house, or hide yourself behind a door and let your fur ball seek you out. It’ll hone your pup’s senses and time will just tick by. This can be fun for the whole family if you have kids; the children can hide, or you can hide and get the pups and kids to find you!

4. Indoor toys

Puzzles and treat balls are great to keep a pup occupied. It sharpens a fur ball’s brain, and he won’t be complaining about the treats he earns! You can also hand him a stuffed toy or a Kong; he’ll be happy for hours.

5. Take a nap

While this isn’t an activity, there’s no way that cuddling with a fluffy puppy doesn’t sound appealing! Your fur ball probably won’t mind taking a nap, especially in the atmospheric rain. Lay out a pillow or bed for him and see what happens!
