Working as a dog rescuer is challenging. Not only do you deal with the difficulty of rescuing and caring for the dogs, but you also deal with the heartbreak of meeting different dogs passing through a lot. However, the challenges are worth it because you can help a dog get a new chance at a better life.
When rescuers save a group of dogs from a difficult situation, the dogs are often anxious and scared. Generally, dogs are creatures of habit and routine, and a change in environment can cause some anxiety. But for dogs who have known only abuse or neglect all their lives, it is a lot scarier and takes time for them to adjust.
The National Mill Dog Rescue is a rescue organisation whose mission is to rescue and rehome "discarded breeding dogs." They also want to educate the public about the "cruel reality of the commercial dog breeding industry."
The rescue often sees dogs go through an adjustment period after being rescued. But when they finally saved a group of puppies with nothing but gratitude to show their rescuers, they happily took to YouTube to share their excitement.
"It's fun to see dogs who are just excited about what's to come. Just you wait, little ones, the future is brighter than you could ever dream!" the rescue said in the video.
