She Climbs Into This Pup's Kennel. What She Does There? I'm All Tears.

Living in a shelter can be stressful for a pup at times, especially if they have to undergo medical treatments while they’re there.

The staff at Conway Area Humane Society, a New Hampshire animal shelter, are well aware of this issue and make it their mission to ensure that the fur balls in their care receive as much care as they can give. So when a four-year-old pup became distressed after waking up in a small pen after spay surgery, her whines and cries caught the attention of Chrissy, one of the workers at the shelter who was luckily nearby.

In order to comfort the upset pup, Chrissy climbed into the pen and lay down next to the fur ball, giving her much-needed TLC. Aww! When footage of this touching scene was uploaded on the group’s Facebook, it gained over 100,000 views. The video was taken by executive director Virginia Moore, who captioned it: “Moments like this are a regular sight at the shelter, however, catching them on camera is rare.” I don’t know about you, but I wish there were more scenes like these caught on camera!

According to Ms. Moore, she wanted the video to show how the shelter provides new starts for animals in need. “There’s so much ugly in the world right now that people saw something lovely and genuine and authentic and it just resonated with ,” she said. Words of wisdom, that’s for sure!

The pups in the shelter might be getting a lot of care and love, but they’re still in need of forever loving homes. Do check out your local shelter when you consider getting a fur ball of your own! Don’t forget to like and share!
