When a pup is poorly treated, it’s a heartbreaking ordeal. But there’s always hope that a fur ball will come out from the hard times and find a loving family.
Zuzu the German shepherd pup had become depressed after her biological father passed away, leaving her sad and lonely. Out of distress, one day she decided to hop over into the neighbors’ yard. The neighbors didn’t know who she was, so they called up the Downey Animal Care Center in California to pick her up.
The shelter assumed she was a stray and started trying to integrate her into shelter life. But then one day, volunteers noticed that Zuzu was acting extremely happy and excited upon sight of a certain family. It was the family she had lived with before being taken to the shelter, and she thought she was going to be taken home.
But the pup’s heart was broken when the family turned out to be at the shelter to adopt a different fur ball. Their reason? Zuzu was far too unhappy and had been crying all the time, so they no longer wanted her.
This cruel treatment towards a fur ball, who is described by shelter volunteers as beautiful and loving, is upsetting and enough to make anyone angry. Luckily, Zuzu is being taken in by a rescue organization who promise to find her a happy forever home.
