Stray Dog Comes To Comfort Actor Who Was Pretending To Be Injured

A stray dog in Turkey warmed the hearts of performers and spectators alike after he walked into a theatrical performance and tried to comfort an actor who was pretending to be injured.

“The character I played was injured and in great pain. He’d fallen off a horse and was breathing hard,” Numan Ertuğrul Uzunsoy, the actor in question said.

The stray dog was probably just on another aimless stroll looking for food when the sight of a man in pain lying on the ground caught his attention. He didn’t realize the man was acting and instinctively went to where Uzunsoy was lying and began comforting him.

“I felt warmth on my face. First, I thought my costar was approaching me,” the actor said noting that he wasn’t aware that the dog was coming to him.

The whole incident was caught on camera and you can hear members of the audience applaud that moment when the stray dog starts comforting Uzunsoy. It was not part of the script but it was undoubtedly a welcome addition.

“I was very happy when I felt the dog’s kisses. I was very touched. He was like an angel who wanted to help me. It was a very emotional moment for me. I was not expecting it.” Uzonsoy said.

The dog was finally taken off the stage and Uzonsoy was hoping he will catch him after his performance but the dog was long gone by then. Nevertheless, he has vowed to look for him and help him find a home.

“The next day I went to the same place, looking for him. People told me he usually hangs out there. I went again today. I’ll look for him until I find him,” said the actor.
