Who was the last person you kissed? A romantic partner? A family member? Or was it actually not a “person” at all, but rather a canine companion? According to a survey, that’s more likely than not – people kiss their dogs way more often than their own partners!
A survey conducted in the United States by Riley’s Organics, a dog treat company, 52% of dog parents actually kiss their canine companions more than they kiss their romantic partners. Also, 52% of respondents said they would rather go to bed curled up with their dog than with their partners. Woah!
On top of that, 94% of dog Moms and Dads think of their pooches as their best friends. This could be the reason behind all that undying love and affection; we love our dogs and shower them with love. They’re family to us! As such, these results aren’t nearly as surprising as one may initially think.
Riley’s Organics sells all-organic, low-ingredient snacks with delicious flavors, so check them out if you want to support them. Otherwise, just enjoy the knowledge that you’re not alone if you kiss your dogs a lot – tons of other Moms and Dads to it, too! Sorry, partners out there – our dogs come first!
