Terrified Dog Survives Hurricane Ida Trapped Under Roof

Terrified Dog Survives Hurricane Ida Trapped Under Roof

After another hurricane hit the state of Louisiana on August 26th, 2021, entire towns were shattered to pieces. Everything was falling apart, houses were torn to pieces, and branches and trees were everywhere.

In the middle of all this, there lied a collapsed shed that looked just like another pile of rubble. But underneath everything, a soul was trapped.

As Bubbles was fighting for his life, trapped under the shed, someone walked by. By some miracle, they spotted him and were able to get Humane Rescue Alliance officers working with LSPCA to come to the rescue.

When they arrived at the scene, they found poor Bubbles chained up and unable to escape. Once they got him free, he was immediately grateful and affectionate towards his rescuers. The LSPCA has stated that they have no idea how he survived for that long without food and water after facing winds going over 130 mph.

After being taken to a shelter, he got all the care he needed. He has food, water, and a safe place to sleep. His caretakers love him and say he is a big baby who just wants affection and attention. Even though he acts tough, he is just a big softie.

His story is the best-case scenario. But not all dogs have his luck. Many pets end up in dangerous situations because of the carelessness of their parents. If you are also a dog parent, remember to include them in hurricane plans, and don’t leave them alone for a long period.
