Terrified Pup Used As Bait Dog Makes Incredible Transformation After Finding Love And Happiness

Meatloaf the pit bull spent some bad days living on the Florida streets. But shortly after being abandoned, he was hit by a car. The driver rang up animal control, and soon Rescue Animals In Need, or Rain, stepped in to take him in.

Meatloaf was in an awful condition. He was nearly 20 pounds underweight, covered in mange, full of infection in his skin and ears, and absolutely terrified. He had many old injuries and had obviously been neglected for a long time, leading to staff guessing that he had been a bait dog for fights.

Though scared, Meatloaf tried his best to overcome his fears. He found himself in a foster home shortly after so he could recover. He got better steadily, and soon his foster Mom began interviewing potential adopters. Sadly, none of them seemed to work out – and then Brittney Strugala came into the picture.

Strugala knew she wanted to take Meatloaf in the moment she saw his picture. She already had another pit bull named Sky in the home she shared with her fiancé, and Sky would love a friend. But their apartment wouldn’t allow more than one pup – but Strugala wanted him so much that they decided to move houses just to make it happen!

Five days after moving house, Meatloaf moved right in. He was nervous at first, but his new Mom and Dad were eager to help him through that anxiety and work with him as he recovered.

It was clear that Meatloaf was easily frightened, of everything from tiny noises to other people. But with Mom, Dad, and especially Sky’s help, Meatloaf came out of his shell.

Meatloaf has since learned that the world isn’t all scary, and he’s shown himself to be loving, goofy, and very happy! He loves snuggling with Mom and Dad and always follows Sky around.

Finally, he’s where he deserves to be, and he’ll never have to be frightened ever again.
