This Poor Dog Couldn't Walk With His Health Condition - Then He Met His Dad!

When Tony Hayden’s dachshund dog passed away just shortly before the Christmas of 2014, he was heartbroken. The dog had been his precious best friend for an amazing 21 years.

But even as he dealt with the pain, Hayden knew that one day, he’d fill the hole his friend left with a new dachshund. And that he certainly did!

Hayden knew Meatball may be the dachshund for him when he was told his story from a breeder. The dog had been born with cerebral hypoplasia, which means that his cerebellum is underdeveloped.

This meant that his coordination and movement were impaired, making even simple walking difficult for the poor dog. Hayden was committed to helping the dog get better.

For the next half year, Hayden would help Meatball do daily physical therapy exercises.

Twice a week, he would take the dog for acupuncture appointments to aid his blood flow. By the time the precious pooch had turned 8 months of age, he was able to walk with just a tiny limp!

And today, nearly two years later, Meatball is doing more than just that – he’s able to run, and he’s become a social media star with over 100,000 Instagram followers!
