This Pup's Beach Trip Almost Became Fatal After He Accidentally Ate A Poisonous Fish

Angus the golden retriever is a seven-month-old pup who has built up a small following, and he’s best known for his daily walks on the beach of Port Phillip Bay, Melbourne, Australia.

One day, while at the beach, a mishap occurred when the tide washed up dead fish and he decided to eat one of them when his family looked away for a split second. As it turned out, it was no ordinary fish – it was the deadly Puffer fish! The stinky fish smelled enticing to the pup, and he had no way of knowing it was the second most poisonous vertebrate in the world thanks to the poison imbedded in their skin.

Immediately, this pup’s parents were worried sick! Full ingestion of such a dangerous animal can be fatal. Luckily, they spotted the signs of trouble quickly and were able to rush him to the vet. Thanks to the administration of Apomorphine, the pup was able to throw up the toxins and the remains of the fish removed.

After some hours of nausea, the pup recovered rapidly, and he was back to his happy self by the end of the day. Phew! So pup parents, be sure to watch your pup and what he eats on the beach! Do like and share.
