Halloween is just around the corner, so if you’re a pup parent who loves dressing up your little fur ball, take note!
There are tons of options available – far too many for me to list down. But if your pup is a bulldog, then here are five ideas!
1. Mario
This pup’s stout build will only serve to make this classic video game character even more incredible as a costume! With some overalls on a red shirt, a red hat with an M pasted on it, and a fake mustache, your fur ball will be the star of any costume party. Add a Luigi for the ultimate sibling costume!
2. Pirate
This is definitely a Halloween staple! There will be a multitude of pirate costumes available for pups, so this is one that’s got you covered. Your fur ball will find all the treasure (read: treats) just by being adorable and looking at you with puppy dog eyes in this costume! Plus, who can resist a bulldog in an adorable hat?
3. Yoda
With the Star Wars craze having been rebooted by the news movies, bringing some nostalgia back with a favorite green character that speaks in backward sentences can’t go wrong. As long as your pup doesn’t use the Force to get all the treats!
4. Ballet dancer
Putting a tutu on a pup shouldn’t be as adorable as it is, but it really is quite cute! Your pup will look great in the traditional pink skirt and tiara. Ballet not really your thing? You can make your fur ball into any kind of dancer that you prefer! Have fun with it! Just make sure to get the right length tutu so your bully doesn’t trip.
5. Shrek
Ah, yes, the green, swamp-dwelling ogre that’s gained so much fame over the years. It’s fairly easy to find a Shrek-ear headband for a fur ball and to dress him in a brown shirt. He’ll be set to save the world in no time!
If you are still looking for the right bulldog costume, keep in mind that many headbands and hats for humans fit bulldogs well and you can also use people clothing for them with a little trimming of the sleeves and altering. These options open up a whole world of different costumes for any bulldog and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that everything is cuter as a bulldog. Your favorite character from a TV show? Picture a bulldog dressed up as them. Favorite animal? Bulldog. Favorite food even? A bulldog will make it adorable!
Don’t hesitate to get creative and have fun with it. Just make sure your bulldog can move comfortably and their face isn’t covered (you don’t want to make it any harder for them to breathe) and you can let your imagination run wild. Have fun and get excited for trick or treating!
I hope this list has given you some great ideas as to what your pup will be this season. Don’t forget to like and share!
