The latest internet trend is this dog reacting to a song played by an Amazon Alexa. It has over 2.9 million hits, and nearly half a million likes since it was shared on the GoFetch TiktTok account three days ago.

The video shows a Border Collie named Forrest going into a frenzy when Alexa plays his favorite song. The moment was captured by Tina Preston in her kitchen after she says, “Alexa, play “Who Let The Dogs Out”. This song by Baha Men was released in 2000 and became an international sensation, reaching the Top 40 in the US.

Forrest reacts by picking up his toy, then staring at Alexa in anticipation of the song. When it begins, he gets into a dancing frenzy and starts jumping on the counter, thrashing around the room, all while the toy is hanging out of his mouth. One TikTok comment by Megan Adonis read, “He’s living his best life.” Another by Chris Peterson said, “he was like no way this is my jam!!!”.

According to Preston, she has a Forrest playlist of his favorite songs. Studies have shown that dogs and other animals have similar reactions to music as we do, as we can clearly see with Forrest. Large dogs are more responsive than small dogs like Chihuahuas. Who knows what else is on Forrest’s playlists. So far, we know he has pretty good music taste.
