We as dog lovers always do extra to help our canine companions to the best of our ability. Some vow to go the extra mile to make them feel safe and provide them with the love they so greatly deserve.
While we often go the extra mile, some people will go even further. No, literally. Such is the story of Edgardo Perros of Mexico. Edgardo is a selfless man who literally walks the extra mile to save as many dogs as he possibly can.
Spotted around Mexico with a trolley full of dogs, Edgardo was asked what on earth it is that he is doing. Edgardo turns out to be an extraordinary human who walks the streets of Mexico and picks up stray dogs in order to save them.
In addition to that, when Edgardo spots a dog on the side of the road taking his last breaths, he lays down next to the furry face and comforts him in his last moments. Edgardo has walked over 14,000 kilometers in a quest to save the most helpless.
He says that he simply could not bear to see how dogs were being abandoned, and he just had to do something about it. The selfless acts of this man have been inspirational, and a short film has been produced about him.
Some people are just unbelievably selfless and have an unconditional love that radiates around them. Edgardo is an example of this and continues to save lives on a daily basis. What a true hero!
